    Hi Si,

Did you do the lower arm bushes yourself? Mine need doing and I'm a bit concerned after reading some horror stories of things being well stuck!

    Cheers

Steering rack bushes were a peice of cake.

Just use a large socket and a long bolt with a nut and a washer.

NOTHING like doing the lower arm bushes! (or top ball joints for that matter!)
      More Lift.
      More Tyres.
      More Engine.

With a bag of sand I would finish the Tooter mod I plan to do.........sometime. Talked about it here a bit.

A stainless system is at the top of my list TBH but I have already set aside the cabbage for that and it should be done in the next few weeks. It's been top of the list all year and the MOT is due so I'd like it fitted before that.

I like Yoshies mention of a decent cooler box and Karma Supras mattress is a belter!

          A thousand lucky dips maybe????

Go nuts like I did and cover it with lights. I have 11 lamps on mine

I think bull bars are a must, they look bland without them.

I didn't mate, all that needed doing at the time were the rack bushes.
Sorry I can't give you any tips on the lower arms.
If its not broke don't fix it.

But looking at the price of tyres, you may be right.

I would if I thought it'd help - she keeps reversing into bollards at Asda !

Considering parking sensors if we ever get it sorted

It's a piece of shite anyway, he'll be selling it for a MK1 golf before long.

I'm fortunate enough to already have a Mk1 Golf GTI, albeit a cabriolet, so I'm happily keeping them both, its the complete set from a hairdresser's point of view

Saying that Si, I did briefly consider your offer to bring her back and have my money back when I saw a black one up for sale on Autotrader this evening. But to be honest I think when it comes to stock 3rd gens, I think the blue over silver actually looks better than black over silver, and as discussed the painting of the silver bits is not likely to turn out as well as I'd like.

I still think all black looks awesome...
