      .
Not big enough, not enough active persons.

Nato talk about "Deployable" 3,515 Nato

      China talk about "active" Military
      China "deployed 4,585,000
      Available: 385,821,101 males, 363,789,674 females, about 7,500,000

      The numbers are huge.

Any way, this can go no where.
For too long the west has been walking around with closed eyes.

China is fast becoming the world economic superpower, so why would they invite trouble with the west when they can (and in some areas, already do) outstrip everything we can do as regards to industry / technology?

Sure, quality-wise they might not be quite there just yet, but they'll get there for sure. You only need to look at Japan 40 years ago, producing coppied rubbish, and then compare what they produce now. We are starting to get enquiries from Chinese manufacturers regarding legal directives for goods in the UK, and have recently opened a China office (1 young lady so far, but sure to grow I reckon!). I cant help think economic ties, or at least dealing with Chinese industry would pay dividends for our own economy, and create work in the UK.

I'd love to visit if the opportunity arose. Looks like a fascinating culture shock.
