Hello!
This is my first post - obviously, because it's in this section.
I'm a fairly recent Hilux owner. I bought a 20 year old Japanese import (3.0 diesel) a couple of months ago. I've owned 4x4s in the past, but I'm what I would call a novice at anything mechanical and at anything off-roading.
But we've all got to start somewhere, right..?
I'm sure I'll pick up loads of useful info along the way from this forum, but I have a couple of things I could do with some advice/pointers on, and hope it's ok to ask.
First, I've got front spots mounted on the bumper. Or at least I *had* front spots mounted on the bumper until two weeks ago when one of the brackets just snapped in two. It was pretty corroded.
I've had a bit of a look round online but I can't find anywhere selling any sort of sturdy replacement bracket. Does anyone here have any suggestions?
Also, I've managed to break the switch for the sunroof! If anyone knows an auto-electrician who knows their way round a Hilux loom (preferably in the Reading area) I'll be forever in your debt! Also, any recommendations on where to get spares (such as a new switch) would be great.
Thanks in advance,
Sean
