  • Torque Convertor - Replacement. & Surf for Sale :)

I’m selling my surf, (advert to appear as soon in the for sale section) but it’s slightly in need of a new torque convertor.
Is there anyone on here who can give a quote to supply and fit one.

    3L - 3rd gen.

I’ll may get it fixed myself then sell it repaired or I’ll just point any curious buyer at this thread.
    Any help gratefully received.

If you willing to travel to Basingstoke then TonyN is your man.He is also breaking a 3rd gen aswell i think so he may have one.
What is the problem with the T/converter anyway. Is there enough ATF in it

To be honest, I don’t know for sure.

My mechanic tells me the Torque convertor is what’s causing the occasional rumble.
I get no loss of power and the gear changes are all fine – I just get a rumbling noise occasionally.

I would have a chat with TonyN about it as he knows all there is to know about these trucks. You can get his contact details from his website www.4x4toys.co.uk

          Excellent thanks for that.
          Tony was very helpful.
Once my advert is up I'll add the details in.

I guess the pesky mods have day jobs and haven't had chance to approve to it yet.

Yes, I put my username in the paypal.
Although, I can't remember now if I put a price in the advert.

I'm just teasing, I'm sure he'll get onto it as soon as he can.

Then I can find a new owner for my faithfull old blue Surf.
I shall be sad to see it go, we've had a fair few adventures together.
So it would be good to find an owner from the forum that will look after it.

I'm asking £2000 ono for it.

It's a 96(N) plate Blue over Silver 3rd gen with 100k miles in quite nice condition.
(except for an occasionaly noisy torque convertor)

And it's currently near Coventry if you want to have a look.
