  • Guns and recent trips

    Hi all,
The other week I got to fire a .50 calibre hand gun called a Desert Eagle whilst over in the USA. I knew it would be powerful but I didn't comprehend just how much until my finger pulled the trigger. The first time I pulled it, the gun recoiled out of my left hand. I'm not that into guns really and have only ever fired a real gun in America. I've fired paint guns and a few BB guns during play but theyre not the same. One of the .50 rounds shell casings popped out and managed to go down my t-shirt. It wasn't red hot but it was warm

We also visited the Hoover Dam, Red Rock Canyon, Vegas, and Hollywood.

Managed to get a slight tan as well. Makes a change!

Even got her to try to get a handstand photo, but ended up being a cartwheel

    Nice but ...

Standing too square on - left side should be further forward
    Push out with right arm
    Pull back with left arm
    Pull left elbow further down

It'll still recoil like a bitch but you'll have far more control !

Life is too important to take seriously !

        Thanks Bob.
I'll try and make a mental note for next time That was the first hand gun I had ever fired so wasn't really sure what I was doing. The guy at the gun shop did tell me but it felt really awkward in the hands so felt like I was doing something not quite right. Was quite nervous too.

The mrs was okay with a different hand gun, think it was a Barretta? She's been shooting in England before so she probably knew more than me. She didn't like the MP5 though, and wouldn't finish the magazine

No theyre ear protectors. The eyes are the other two holes

I think the guy there felt sorry for us we could have moved the target out but never did. We got a 100% hit rate on the target though
