  • Hi from Scotland

Hi guys Just joined the forum.

I don't have a surf at the moment, but i will hopefully find one soon.
I live in Bathgate ,west lothian with my girlfriend.

Seen a few 2nd gen surfs in and around this area and allways liked the
    look of them.
I will be picking a few brains on here when i eventually buy one as it will
    be my first diesel motor
Hopefully end up with a decent one from a forum user.

    cheers
    Alan

Hi and welcome. I trundle about in West Lothian at weekends in mine. You'll recognise me as the rear bumper has been taken off and replaced with an old tube bumper, better that rust lol.
I'm mechanically clueless though but there are a few guys in Scotland with excellent knowledge who will pobably say hello at some point

                            Alan,
                            have a look here.
                            http://www.hiluxsurf.co.uk/showthrea...426#post621426

As mentioned, hold out for a good one, hopefully from a forum member. You'll notice some right dross on ebay. Be prepared to travel for a good one. My next one will probably be a 3rd gen and I expect to have to go south for one.
I'm in Livingston,if you want to have a look at mine and it will give you an idea what to look out for when purchasing.

                            Regards

                            Ross
