How deep can you go?

With all this flooding, how deep can a Surf go and is there any difference in depth with the 2nd and 3rd gen. Maybe time to consider fitting a snorkel!
At the moment we are camped with the caravan on a flood plain near Tewkesbury, but not too worried about flooding yet!

Standard height Surfs 2nd and 3rd gens, up to the bottom of the headlights.
Deeper if you can create a bow wave in front of you, i.e. keep moving.

Personally I'd say about 3" less than the height of the floor of your caravan ...

The concern is going home after dropping off the caravan as living rural there are a few big dips in the road. No issues from here to storage area as bridge is quite high over River Severn. As per radio yesterday, more "tarantula" rain is expected leading to localised flooding!

Undo the cold air intake which goes to the front of the truck and fit it at the back of the engine bay if your worried.

I find that they start to float once up to the windows so that kinda limits how "deep" you can go
With a snorkel of course so dont try this without one
