Looking to buy soon ...

Hi all I've been thinking about buying a 4x4 for around 5 years now and finally I'm going to take the plunge and treat myself to my first ever 4x4.

I'm not a stranger to LWB vehicles though as I've had a few over the years and my last car was a LWB Jaguar XJ-8 V8 so size is not a problem.

For a long time I visioned my first 4x4 buy being a Shogun but recently I really have fell in love with the way the Hilux looks and I like what I hear about them ...

I have around £2000 to £2500 to spend and would like some advice on what engine to go for (ie 2.4 or 3.0) and what to look out for when going to buy?

Also advice on the cheapest company to go with for insurance would be great.

Any advice would be appreciated.
