I've used dozens of different types over the years and the best by far are the powervamp ones, you will need to up your budget to around the £400 mark though, mine will start my surf with 2 flat battery's
Don't waste your money on a cheap one, they basically use house alarm battery's and will struggle to start anything more than a very mildly drained battery, as bushwacker said get a high amp battery and a good set of jump leads

If it 'started' that many cars that easily then they didn't really need a booster in the first place.
How many cars will it start if you weren't selling it?

I've got a Halfords one and for the past 2 years it's been excellent
The one thing i looked for was the fact it could be left plugged in to the mains 24/7 without probs (this one actually states it in the book)www.amcbs.webeden.co.uk www.xjrestorations.co.uk
