Can't speak from personal experience of this model, Si, but Machine mart stuff isn't usually too bad. http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/pr...ump-start-4000 .

Unless they've got wheels like the secondhand car dealers use, they're all a pile of shite.

You'd get better results with a fully charged spare battery to be honest.

ive got one of these you can have.
              http://www.red-bhw.com/power-start-p...save-1381.html

              it needs a charger though.

              only want £40 for it.

its been used and holds a charge very well, can get 20 cars started before it needs a charge

I've used dozens of different types over the years and the best by far are the powervamp ones, you will need to up your budget to around the £400 mark though, mine will start my surf with 2 flat battery's

Don't waste your money on a cheap one, they basically use house alarm battery's and will struggle to start anything more than a very mildly drained battery, as bushwacker said get a high amp battery and a good set of jump leads

                      Ballhooks!
If it 'started' that many cars that easily then they didn't really need a booster in the first place.
How many cars will it start if you weren't selling it?

I've got a Halfords one and for the past 2 years it's been excellent
The one thing i looked for was the fact it could be left plugged in to the mains 24/7 without probs (this one actually states it in the book)

Still start the same amount if I wasn't selling it, I worked for the AA and during the cold spell we had all I done for a week was non-start/flat battery jobs. Works very well
