  • re calerbration

I have spoke to few ppl about my fuel pump proplem and one says that the pump will need calibrating after. I have noticed that a few of you here have done work on your pumps is this right about the re cal. Thx

What are you doing to the pump?

If anyone is doing enough work to need it resetting, then they should do that as part of the job anyway.

I fitted mine myself, I set the adjustment screw to the same height as the original, had a bit of a diesel knock on first start up so I adjusted it a little at a time until it went, cant remember which way I adjusted it sorry. Trucks been fine for about six months now.

This is just to say how I fitted mine, in no way am I suggesting this is the correct way, if you blow your truck up I take no responsibility, the scv has a lot to do with controlling fueling and should be properly set up on a test bench, infact a few places wouldn't sell me just the valve for that reason, as they say you pays your money you takes your chances!
