DIY sandblasting

Prompted by not wanting to hijack Bushys Lexurf thread..
So I've ordered the cheapo ebay sandblaster and can knock up a box/bay. thing to catch some of the sand.. Just two more questions, sir
Is bog standard kiln dried sand for block paving ok, and what sort of mask is reccommended? TIA.

Yep, just the ordinary block paving stuff will do, I just pierce the bag with the steel pick up tube to keep the sand dry.
As for a mask, the bigger the better. I use a welders helmet with clear glass
and my overalls buttoned up to the neck. The sand 'bounces' back at you and you end up covered!

You can sieve the sand and re-use it.
