weird weather....

was beaming sunshine here in calne, wiltshire. 22 degrees clear and sunny yet hat 20 mins of constant loud THUNDER!

what is all that about?

no im not drunk or under the influence of anything, but i did clean the surf for once.

Tell me about it!!, heat wave for the last couple of weeks and the FIRST time we take the dogs to the beach, park up and unload the dogs and missis, we got 50ft down the beach and the soddin heavens opened up, my wife cant move fast so we were all saturated by the time i got em all in the truck again, right through to my skivvys, that one spot was the only place it rained, quarter mile further along the front it hadn't rained at all, and the dam sun came out halfway home!!
we picked the wrong day, the wrong small area, the wrong 5 minuits!! someone trying to tell me summat/

Not really that odd. The rain has to have an outer limit somewhere, otherwise it would be raining all over the world all the time. Its only a bit odd if you are near that outer bit and can see it. Out at sea, where theres no "stuff" in the way its common to see rain lashing down while at your location its bone dry.

i meant odd with the sunny thunder. because i could hear it like it was above me yet people i know in devizes couldnt hear a thing.

Load of static in the air here yesterday, 4 or 5 car alarms going off in the car park at the same time - very strange

When I woke up this morning it was dark outside.
I noticed that during the day it got brighter and now it is getting dark again.

My old Nokia phone, that doesn't even have a sim in it and IS SWITCHED OFF has been waking me up every morning with its alarm.
1. How?
2. What's it running off? Its in my odds and ends drawer, no AC in there that I know of, and definitely no weather in there to affect it.

I noticed that during the day it got brighter and now it is getting dark again.

Simple rules I follow:
If its dark outside, its still "the night" and you need to go back to bed.
When it is not dark, we call this "the day" and it is safe to get up.

As for the brightening and darkening, I've got no idea... maybe a grown up will be along in a bit to help out.
