although from what I have read I need to go to local DVLA office with all my paperwork and they can issue a new one "eventually"

Vin Plate

Noticed mine was missing a while back,asked at the MOT station I normally use and they said as long as it was visible on chassis leg it was not a problem !

chassis nmbr., ok
engine, ok
what numbers should it type for the rest?
i was cleaning the rear diff and i found out is an LSD,someone painted over it,
the front i don,t know jet.

Heres a picture of my old VIN tag.

Most of it is self exalpanatory

Trans=transsmission in my case auto with overdrive
Axle=G294 open diff G295 Ltd slip diff
Can't help with the colour,and trim codes other than tell you mine is black with black/dark blue interior.

Wow, that means I do have an LSD, I was right when I first got it spinning up both wheels on a corner! Shame is doesn't work now

Yes it will!

Model No=KD-LN130W (N if you have'nt got the wide body version,unlikely)
The rest of the letters after the model no are B/S
Engine No 2L-TII
