  • Fox...........Again

Thought I would post that I would be Fox Shooting tonight, Rabbit Shooting tommorow, Fri and poss Sat night. I know my Firearm Freinds will be interested.

Also Without the rist of starting another HUGE debate, What are the thoughts on the Urban Fox TV programme ? I have just been chatting with my Farmer whos land I lamp for Fox, he was lost for words.
The chap who had his Chickens killed, caught Charlie gave him to the Vets they treated him for Mange made him better and released him a few Streets away for Gods sake !!! And they are wrong he will go back there, I know that for a fact. I wish they would do something like that on the Fens around here, I could track them down on my Laptop and shoot them, save a fortune on fuel. Also the Bit of Stuff who had one go into her bedroom and bite her TWICE ! I say there will be more of that to come. I must say I am a tad supprised at Mark Evans for that programme... Rant Over ...

I like foxes; we feed the ones we have at work. When we don't feed them, they get the rabbits. The rabbits they don't get eat the grass, so the grass is always nice and tidy. When the grass is tidy, the Oystercatchers nest. Once the Oystercatchers have nested, they see the foxes off the grass, so that they don't kill the grass munching rabbits or the Oystercatcher's young.

It all works swimmingly ... until the seagulls start nesting. We get a man with an eagle to fix them...

All seemed a bit over dramatic to me, we have a few foxes round us and they're pretty innocuous other than the usual bin forraging and fighting with the neighbourhood cats. The population does need to monitored and kept under control otherwise there will be increases in bites.

I'm sure the man with the chickens will be somewhat peeved when the fox revisits his coop.

Yes but what you obviously haven't understood is that young foxes look sweet, and their tails are quite fluffy. Hence anyone that seeks to control them is a barbarian. We have two at the moment that have been swiping our chickens so we have to keep them locked up all day instead of letting them free range during the day as usual. Needless to say if I catch the feckers I will give them a cuddle and send them on their way.

We can't keep chickens at work. Our HSSE people won't allow them, they're too dirty ... apparently.

HSSE people should always be locked up all day, or controlled using either weapons, poison, traps or a combination. And yes, HSSE people are dirty.

We've got one that crosses our garden regularly if you're feeling trigger happy/frustrated... he's a biggy though, don't think a cat would stand a chance, he's more like a medium dog than a large cat....

Set a wire for him. Check it every 12 hours as law states, by by Mr Fox.
