waterless car washing

Anyone tried the products where you just spray on wipe off and then polish.
I have just tried the greased lightning showroom shine and was very sceptical about these product until my neighbour said he been using it for over a year.
He gave me some to try and got to say was rather impressed by it, spray wipe all over then buff up. It took me about 25 mins to do the whole car, chrome, rubber trim, windows (not windscreen although it says you can), wheels, basically any non porous surface.
Was no effort to buff it up just a gently wipe and it buffed up really well, rained to following day and after one application the water just beaded off the car.

The Mechanic next door uses it, he gets it from one of the valeting supply companies. Brings his car up nice but wouldn't clean the mud off the truck.

Been using it for ages Nigel, I remember a few years back when I first mentioned it on here but I was shot down by the bucket & sponge brigade as they said it was rubbish, I use the "spray & shine" stuff.
I'm still using it to this day although I wouldn't use it on the truck if it were blathered in mud.

One of our neighbours uses something ecologically similar, he is know by a elderly couple as "the man who's always washing his car".....
I assume this is because a waterless sytem only works to dust off the paintwork, so needs regular attention, as apposed to my biyearly jetwash ( usually after a laning weekend!)

The meguires quick detail stuff is good...

It isn't any good if your car (or truck!) is properly dirty though, you'll just smear grit around and wreck paint. It's probably enough for vehivles that never go out of the town though!

I used it last year,and was really impressed with it. It won't clean a filthy truck,but its so quick you could do it every few days (in the summer).
The one I used was the same colour as tomato soup.
