Last Thursday I noticed my rear number plate was missing, the plastic bolts had been broken off and where the plate is situated there is no way it could catch on anything to be ripped off, on Wednesday the only time I was not with the surf was when it was in a car park in Cheltenham so I am fairly sure this is where the plate went. I reported it to the police on the Friday morning and they put it on their data base incase the plate is used for ilegal purposes (why else would anyone steal it?) so could be an interesting period length of time over the next few weeks probably being stopped by every local bobby that spots my number plate. When I had a new one made at Halfords the guy doing the plate said I was the second person in that day with a stolen rear plate to be replaced, so heads up any other members in or around Cheltenham, keep an eye on your number plates.

I had my front and rear number plates stolen from my car a few years ago, despite reporting it to the police I had the police knocking on my door early one sunday accusing me of doing a petrol run. Bloke in Halfords pointed me in the direction of double sided security sticky pads which stick behind the plates so if a thief tries to pull them off the plate will snap and be useless.
