i'm trying to remove the inner door panels (a tree jumped out and hit the door for some reason) - i've undone three screws (2 in the handle and 1 in the door lock panel) and for some reason i'm stuck!! i don't want to force anything especially as i can see an inner crack on the hardboard panel.

    so guys - help!!!

i've obviously missed summat but i'll be blowed if i know what it is - knowing me it's summat easy and obvious

    thanks in anticipation folks

Have you removed the door lock assembly - there is a small clip that holds the handle onto the rod that activates the lock. If you rotate this clip you can then prise the rod from the handle.

You then need to unclip the handle from the door pane - it slides forward and pulls out, it will be very hard to push forward but believe me it does come out that way. Once this is out you should be able to gently unclip the door panel from the door - there are clips all around (and one that screw out at the front of the door panel). When you pull the panel off the door, do it carefully as you then need to unclip the wires from the electric window.

    Cheers

I know this sounds a bit dosey but......I can see the plastic clip. How exactly can I get this out. It doesn't push in towards the outter door skin and I don't wanna break it.

You mentioned rotating it but it doesn't look like it should. I've got a 94' 3.0ltr if that makes any difference.

Any suggestions please as the rear windows look like they could do with some TLC on the gide rubber.

      Cheers

The clip does rotate. The actuating rod goes through it, and then there is a clip that rotates and clips on to the actuating rod to stop it pulling out of the handle. '94 is a second gen like mine and should be exactly the same. It should actually rotate towards you - i.e. away from the outside skin of the door.

        Cheers
