Can anyone point me towards a KZJ70 specialist including the 1KZT engine and overland prepping in the South?

Have safari prepped lots of Surfs, and motor is same as a 4Runner.

What you after?

2" lift, winch, replacement bumper, engine good going over and made more reliable - Brand new cylinder head (known issue on originals) complete with cam and valves, genuine injectors & glow plugs, genuine gaskets & head bolts. Blueprint water pump & thermostat. Genuine big end bearings. Twin electric fans (switched at different temps). modified intake tract & Mitsubishi front mounted intercooler with silicone hoses and stainless fittings. New genuine timing kit and pump re-timed.

Check that Temps, compression, emissions, boost and oil pressure are 100% spot-on to Toyota specs.

Waxed underneath.

Nope, but maybe to much for your wallet.



Can do all that, apart from waxoil, horrible stinky job.

Note there is no 'upgrade' for cylinder head, you can fit a new one, buf that's all.

Only seen top mounted mitsubishi intercoolers, but they need body lift and scoop, and if you want reliability I wouldn't mess with pump timing.

If you're serious I'll prepare a quote, (loosely) but to get you started winches are £500 plus for good ones, winch bumpers are £600ish, lift about £400.

New injectors are about £200 each, Toyota head complete I'd allow £1000 for

Labour wise at least £400 for all suspension and winch/ fan fitting stuff. Engine work about £600-800 depending having to pull motor or not.

Then an unknown amount for intercooler work as it'll all be made from scratch.
