Nissan Patrol Y61?

Hi guys,

As you may or may not know, till recently I owned a brilliant 3rd Gen Surf, which developed a cracked head, and has now been sold, and I am now on the look out for something to take its place!

I know this is a bad place to ask, but I have been offered a 2.8td Y61 Nissan Patrol and wondered if anyone here had ever owned one and if they were any good compared to the Surf?

I await your bo11ockings.. LOL!

I nearly bought one when I as looking for a 4x4 back in 2003. Surf felt more comfortable for me so bought that instead.

I looked at Patrols when I was first looking but part of what put me off is the fact (not sure if this is as much of an issue with newer models like this one) that they are wider than most other marques making for more difficulty greenlaning. Don't know whether this is a consideration for you or not.
