  • rear window...................what if??????

    what do you do if the electric motor for the back window packs in?.
    no mine still works fine but is there a manual way to open it?.

    ermmmmmm well sort of, take of trim to lower part, disconnect motor and drive parts and the window will fall down, so really the answer is no

        Some of the KZN130's (3Litre) models have a manual winder for getting the window down if the motor goes on holiday.
        A mate of mine has a '93 with the rear wheel carrier.
        There is a little rubber bung right of center on the rear tail gate, apparently you whip out the bung and use the jack handle to wind the widow down.

        Hope this may help.

          Thanks Simon thats good news as I have been having occasional probs with closing the back window and my LN130 (2.4)has a rubber bung there as well.
          Legged it outside to check .....Bugger it!!doesnt seem to be anything behind the bung!!
          I'll live with it, only have trouble when using key in back door, works ok from console switch.
