Blown Turbo Urgent help please

My KZN130 3lt Auto Turbo has deconstructed itself with much predjustice! It has been sent away to be assesed for possible overhaul, this is likely to cost around £500. Given that my truck has 170,000 miles on it and we don't know if the meltdown has damaged the rest of the engine - would I be better off replacing the whole engine? Does a secondhand engine usually include the turbo? Or does anyone have a good turbo, ready to bolt on, for sale? I need to be up and running asap as this is my everyday work vehicle.
