  • Where are all the Surfs ??

    Hi gang

Been out the loop and the world of surfdom for a couple of years or so due to various reasons.

Over the last few weeks I have been searching for Surfs and I am really struggling to find any dealers with, not only recently imported surfs, but with a decent selection to choose from. Also none of them seem to have any 3rd gens??

Is it me or has the Surf thing died away?

Of course amongst the die hard fans such as your selves the passion will stay but the lack of newly imported surfs is sad to see.

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers

Boring Ba$t@rd alert. Back on topic.

There are plenty of good 3rd gens for sale, check ebay, ####heads, autotrader.
Mostly however they are 96 models with the odd 97/98 appearing. I dont think that there is the same volume of importing going on these days due to the pound/yen exchange rate. Its just not as attractive pricewise as it once was.

People are finding out that it's really uncool to own a 3rd Gen.

Apache bought one but it was getting very difficult fighting off the attention from other men.
People are returning to the 1st and 2nd Gen 'Real' Surfs.
These are real trucks that deserve to have bacon sarnies eaten as you work on them, not like working on a 3rd Gen where you stop for a Latte.
Grow a set! Buy a proper Surf.

But the 1st and 2nd gen have a much lower towing weight than the 3rd gen. They probably can't even pull a wet paper bag apart!

A 2nd Gen owner wouldn't try to register his truck in France before going on a 2 week trip there!

Nonesense! The 3rd gen is a much nicer truck.

It had NOTHING to do with the attention I get from other men!
