I think this is a rule; I'm sure if it isn't, you'll all let me know.

The, cheap, square section tow bars have 2 holes, the round section ones have 4.

            Hitch

Hi hitch available from Towsure, they have a number of stores in the country and you can order one on line.
Should really use a four bolt towbar, not sure of legal requirements but you could end up putting a high twist torque on your tow bar. Don't forget the hitch will also add an amount of movement as the 19mm pins will move.

I tried to explain that earlier referring to it as leverage on the towbar.
But apparently it fell on deaf ears and we ended up discussing how many lug nuts an Australian Vauxhall has..

Hitch ordered. The trailer distributor said the tow ball should ideally be 16.5" high. Mine's about 24", so need to drop it about 7.5"...

                  fingers crossed

Don't take the 16.5" as gospel - it'll depend on the trailer, the load and the sag on the Surf. Set it so that it's slightly nose down empty and loaded - if it's nose up it'll try to take off at speed ... Obviously it won't succeed but the handling will be 'interesting' !

You can't tow that with a Surf... Well you can but it wouldn't be legal
