Hi, A bit late but traded in my trusty 2.4 for a 3 litre gen 3. Needed it as partner bought big heavy caravan. New Surf tows brilliantly, definitely better than 2.4. Never had problems with overheating on old unit. Its still in use somewhere, sold it in Farnworth. Noticed some discussions on a couple of minor points so here is my input.
Up to now overall fuel consumption is 25mpg, yes I have light foot but does include towing twice. Actually better than old Surf.
Tyre pressure, mine is an import but does have a sticker on the door pillar, 2 bar.
