Heater controls

The heating controls in my 3rd gen only allow me to adjust the heat from Arctic to Hells Fires.

I am assuming that it's a problem with the controls themselves.

I've found controls from a KZN130 on ebay which look similar, but I'm wondering would they fit?

Alternatively, would the single din controls from the likes of an MR2 or a Camry share the connections at the back and work in a surf?

Or (finally!!) does anyone think that the problem could be something else or know where I might find 3rd gen controls?

Hi David ,
Sounds like that you may have a problem with the temp sensor in the car. This sits in a plastic tube behind the dash on the left of the steering wheel.
The Gen 3 has 'climate control' which automatically adjusts the temp to whatever you set on the slider.
I had the same problem as you after doing taking the dash apart to fix some backing lights and accidentally disconnected the sensor when putting it back together.

The dash was apart recently, so that reasoning makes sense.
