  • RIP Scruffy

If you don't like cats, you won't understand just how bad I feel. Today I had to take my beloved Scruffy to be put to sleep. Despite her bad start in life, she had a kicking when she was a kitten and lost an eye and had a broken tail, she was the most affectionate animal I've ever known.

She was my cat and I was her human.

When she died today, a little bit of me died with her.

I also understand... people don't choose their cats, cats choose their staff!

Sorry to hear for your loss...

Sorry to hear that Andy, I'm more a dog person but loosing any long term pet is heart breaking.
If its not broke don't fix it.

Sorry to hear that fella, I love cats, I think a lot of people don`t like them as you have to actually put a bit of ground work into earning respect from a cat, they wont automatically take to you just because you fed them! My Mum always said you don`t choose a cat, they choose you.

This is Pork Pie, my cat he`s not got time for a lot of people but he know`s my voice and greets me at the door when I come home

I would be devastated if anything happened to him

I've had 7 cats over the years and while I've loved them all to bits my favourite was a wee stray kitten my brother-in-law brought from the timber yard he worked in.

For any animal lover pets are always therapeutic, but for whatever reason I think that there is something especially (and mutually) therapeutic when you 'rescue' an animal.

I feel for you - but you did really good and despite a sh1t start Scruffy had a wonderful life as a result.

Got to be one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, take a
beloved pet and best pal for that last trip to the vets, heartbreaking.

Many people dont understand how upsetting it can be, true animal
lovers totally know how bad you feel.
                Still on a mission.

**** off back to your own little world.

Andy , know how you feel mate, our cat was 29 (human) years old when we finally had to have her put to sleep!
She was with us from the day we met (was her cat) and through the arrival of 4 kids, so she really was part of the family!

Man thats bad news Andy. She was really affectionate wasnt she. She had never met me before, but was quite happy to sit on my lap and get some attention.

Thrifty. I was fooled for a moment there. You stopped posting crap, and then Bam...off you go. Get back to your drunken hole, and STFU.
