You see, the problem here is public/private employers.
The PC correct public employer allows unions, recognises them and tries to work with them...the staf walk out...
The private employer say's "join a union if you want...we don't recognise it. Strike if you want...we can employ someone else to do your job for less"
So getting everyone to walk out together will never happen...It took me a long time to figure this out, coming from Merseyside, having worked in the motor industry and been out on strike more times than I care to remember. Nobody wins by taking strike action, companies close and people lose their jobs. What have I told you about thinking Erroll

Why am I not allowed to be a bit miffed that my pension has been mollested (much more than the PS ones will be)?
Nobody has told me why the public sector is somehow magically different to the private sector and why the private sector deserves to be treated differently. We all have contracts and we're all in the same position; pension rules have changed, live with it. As is normal with the public sector, you're lagging behind what actually happens in the real world.Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

i cant agree with you more, this is why i said we are going to have to unite, i know it is not going to happen i know whatever happens some one innocent will get the blame and the people causing it are laughing cause they are sorted. i know tax payers are always going to foot the bill.
it is a shame great britain used to be great we owned half the world our engineering skills were the best, our manufacturing importing and exporting were second to none. we were a super power now there is nothing left except pointing fingers and blaming ourselfs for letting it happen. people try and fight to change things and fingers of blame come back out and the country is split.
i wanted to put civil servants point across i have tried.
remember though when voting its us that put these idiots in charge that rape us dry, when they bankrupt the population and the country we are all to blame in my opinion beacuse we cant work together....UBIQUE

We have a workforce of 5
the civil sector has stuck together on this through the unions there is no reason why the public sector can not do the same and fight for there issues aswell.
You really live on a different planet.
We have a workforce of 5
oh but i will knock on your door if you like and have a chat about the #### comment there was no need for that and i was not patronising you in any way shape size or form so that was unessercery 100%
as for the ivf why you decide to bring that up in an open forum which is not linked to what i was trying to say i dont know, i suggest you re read my post.
i was suggesting that the media has not shown the full story to whats actualy been happening just the bits they want people to see i WAS NOT saying YOU do not know the full facts or anybody else.
Why put it on the forum then ?
however on the ivf thing take this as its ment im glad it worked out good for you and you have a healthy child, im not all clued on how the nhs works but it sucks that you have to pay privatly to have that type of treatment. and agree with you on the gastric band thing if its a genetic thing then i can understand but if its just a fat mc donalds eating git that got them selfs that way then they should sort them selfs out and not waste resoursces for treatments that was there own doing.
I mentioned the "IVF thing" because you seem to think that only the private sector workers seem to know what's going on. I don't go off what the tabloids say, which you seem to think the general public(private sector) are listening to. I DO KNOW. AND YOU AND YOUR UNIONS HAVE GOT IT WRONG!
Have a quick look at the posts on here and take stock.
(just remember when you've been on strike for long enough there will be someone else willing to take your post for £3.25 ph)All the best

And some pillock who sat behind a desk in Whitehall signed all this off because his public sector job was safe...It was only the manual workers who were losing out "our pensions have just been guaranteed" they claimed....The millions who were put out of work then are still not working today, have no pensions and no unions fighting for them....What have I told you about thinking Erroll

they are not my unions there anybodys unions that join them. the replacement thing might be true if they start recruiting again which isnt going to happen for a long time, hence the redundancies that is taking place.
as for the media thing a lot of people do get there info from main stream media not everyone as you have pointed out. unless you work in this sector or are privvy to all the info we have been given you cant know everything thats going on within the dark side of the force.UBIQUE

When Blair & co were in charge their method of reducing unemployment was to inflate the number of people employed by the public sector, the redundencies now are as a result of that.
The down side of course is that those people will no longer pay tax or spend wages, they are unsuitable for work in the private sector (because they have to actually work) and there are no private jobs for them anyway...this is a fundamental mistake by the current government, they don't appreciate the stress private firms are under. Not every company is as large as ICI or BP.What have I told you about thinking Erroll
