i love it (not really) the way they think, they want to increase 63% in road tax in ireland. plus increase i think it said 5c/litre.
back to one horse powered or donkey and cart. if things going like that.



i wondering how much it will be to keep a v8 in 2 years

i had being filling the papers to change in to Irish plates to do it in January so they know im here.
after done the Toyota recall, as im going to do this 21st.
and the lads of customs passed by today to say hellllllo, you had being here over 3 years with uk plates

Quite a few here have tried that trick living down south and registering their car in N Ireland, the tax people are not dumb. They track people down finding their true home (using a variety of methods).
The vehicle is then seized... crushed or auctioned off if taxes owed are not paid

i have been doing this for a while, i went to irish plates and have the truck tax as crewcab commercial,

mate of mine has a honda accord 3 years registered in northern ireland,

got a letter from customs recently stating that he's been in his job in dublin for over 5years and spending majority of time in the republic means he needs to import it or else lose the car...

so they know a lot more than just when you first arrived with your truck...

its 1290euro for the yr for my 3l surf registered as a private vehicle
its a joke the price of tax over here!! an specially wit the state the roads are in!!

Well some departments may be slower than others

But you leave a paper trial - you pay for your fuel with a card, you get paid via your bank, your rent or mortgage is trackable, where you shop.. etc they can build a picture of your life

Try and defraud them and they turn nasty
