And of course hot chicks on the pavement.

It gets my goat when I see people with the phone in one hand and food/makeup/newspaper etc in the other. But that is the point of a hands free. Used sensibly I cannot believe speaking on the phone is so bad.

Although I do find the buttons can be confusing if you are very drunk.

I found a Sony Ericsson one on fleabay new for about £30, same concept as the parrot ones but with a separate speaker. Works really well and far cheaper than anything else I could find

will let you know how I get on or rather the son gets on. As he has a firms van couldn't start ripping his radio out!

I use a Bury kit. You can play the music from your phone through it, too.

Parrot are very good.

Avoid the older Motorola kits, and the Nokia CK7W (I think that's the model in Mrs Feys car).

Switch it off. No matter how important you may think you are, the call can wait until you get out of the car.

If you get in heading for the other end of the country and whatever you were going for is cancelled, why wait until you get there to find out.

I expect this country is saved millions of pounds a year by diverting, recalling and cancelling trips earlier rather than later or when it's too late.

I object to people holding phones whilst driving, because they can't steer properly, but handsfree comms aren't an issue for me. They don't seem to distract pilots, or policemen, or tank drivers either.
