nope but i got to admit as much as i've seen alot of people on here aren't looking forward to it, I am. Its my first year with a 4x4, I've just ordered some new tyres and half way through my service, (just found milner have sent the wrong water pump). Getting ready for the bad weather, and with being a self employed mobile mechanic, I will need the 4x4 to get to my jobs. Will look good turning up to work on peoples car no matter the weather....

Do you get snow in Dartford?!

When I lived in Essex (Harlow, winter of 96-97) there was a sprinkling of snow and the vast majority of people didn't turn up for work cos the weather was so bad. I just got on my motorbike and rode to work and didn't really think anything of it...

I moved to Kent (Sittingbourne) in Feb 97 and the winters there were generally not much more severe but everyone used to just turn up for work ok there.

No snow here in the sunny (well, kinda grey & murky at the moment but quite changable) midlands.

EDIT: Incidentally, I absolutely love snow. The only weather better than snow is fog. I love fog. It feels like you're in the audience for Top of the Pops!

Last winter, Dartford was hit quite bad and the A2 was closed for several hours as there were so many jack knifed lorries. Orpington (where my father lives) was hit very bad and he was stuck in-doors for a week as he lives at the top of a hill, (he's got a weak heart and can't walk far).

Last winter i was working for the AA and traveled all over the country doing garage audits. went through devon in a corsa hire car, which was great fun, god knows how i didn't get stuck in the 1.5 foot of snow i was travelling through. I think its the fact it wasn't my car so pedal to the metal mentallity kicked in.

Apparently it'll go by the weekend but the rest can't be too far away now.

I couldn't tell you the last time I had a jacket on, unless it was enforced or for safety (Bike and work).
