  • All set up ...

I was all set up to sell my surf. I even paid for an advert! I had taken some pictures and was considering the pros and cons when wife Jenny says we have to keep her!

Am glad we still got "Aunt Sally" cause we treat her rough and she don't complain. One day I'll send in some pictures but maybe a wash and polish first

I want through the same. Even had someone wanting to pay over the advertised price till they finished their off shore stint.

But i couldn't part with it!. Once i looked further into other trucks,i couldn't think of anything i'd rather have !!

Again the same thing with me. 3 years ago the twins were on their way and I bought a 406 estate trying to cut fuel costs.

On the way back from picking it up we took a break and my wife started saying that the peugeot didn't have any soul and we'd made a mistake.

Luckily we still had Nelly so within a couple of weeks the pug was gone, same price as when bought.

I've still got the Surf (Nelly) but now it costs about £20 - £30 a month to fuel because for the last 18 months she's been running on homemade EU standard Biodiesel.

I would only replace the Surf with another Surf, Land Cruiser or G wagon. Oh, maybe a Dodge with a Cummins or a Ford powerstroke truck.

I've been thinking about selling mine but as smiffy said, can't really find anything as good or reliable that can match the surf & since I now have a van for work it costs me hardly anything in derv.

I'm just praying for deep snow again this winter so I can embarrass all these on road 4x4's.
If its not broke don't fix it.
