  • wheel arch extensions

The 255/r15 tyres stick out too far (tread is outside wheel arch) on my 4runner, wheel offset -15 on the alloys, so 8mm out.

so looking to replace wheels or fit wheel arch extensions,
anyone fitted the ones from this place:

    http://www.4x4accessoriesandtyres.co...heel_arch.html

or know anyone who has and seen the result?

If you go for new wheels the factory standard offset 8 with 31" tyres (265/70 approx) on a narrow body surf (with out wide arches) is fine and the tyres do not stick out.

Yep sure have......on my 1st gen took a bit of fiddling about cos the arch shape is different from 2nd gen but should go on yours no probs. you just got to drill the holes..

              Hi Sumo

can you wash the mud off next time - so I can see the arch flares!!
They look ok, but your truck only has 2 doors, I assume for a 4-door truck, the rear flares come in 2 parts to fit across the door/rear quarter gap?
what did you pay ~£130? from that 4x4accersories place?
what are they made of, can are they coloured?

              thanks

So do I have this correct? These arches on Sumo's 1st Gen 4Runner are arches made to fit a 2nd Gen (90-95) 4Runner? That is good to know. If so, was it difficult to get enough screws in, like were there enough points of contact? Also, were the arches for a 2door or 4door 2nd Gen? Thanks for the info!
BTW Sumo, nice job on fitting them!

There is a full set of extensions on ebay right now going quite cheap, and seller ships worldwide for a reasonable fee.
