Reason for the additive is a recommend from the Roughtrax website when i was looking through. I realise they sell Forte and have a vested interest in selling you some however, it sounded like a reasonable recommend and after all they are a specialist. If that advice is no good i have to question other advice they provide.

I understand about the oil pressure needing to build up and what the gauge measures, however, a nearly empty/empty oil filter would cause a drop in oil pressure until it fills up, wouldn't it?

Thanks for the recommend on the 15W40. Are you using fully synthetic? Again, Roughtrax recommends 10W40 Semi-Synth. Next oil change i'll pop the sump off and check the pick up pipe and give it a good clean.
    Now it's time to play!

I'm using 5W30 semi-synth because i don't have an oil burner. I use cheap Halfords oil filters and my oil pressure build up is instant.

I've just checked a bunch of threads on sump removal and different methods of doing it. It's not just a case of popping it off..lol..

Why did i think it was going to be easy

Yep, about 10:30am. Nothing unusual here, typical Northampton post.

We get big issues with lost post and recorded delivery post arriving several days late or not at all. We rarely get post on time.

Having said that, 3mths ago i ordered some stuff from the USA and to my surprise it arrived in 3 days. Go figure!!
