  • Surf insurance

    Hi Guys,

Just did a little research before I go get me a Surf

    Had a bit of a shock on the insurance though !! £850 for a 1994 3.0 ssr-g worth £2000

    Is that about right ?

I would love to hear what you guys are paying all those about 40 yrs old with 4 or 5 yrs no claims for fully comp

    Much appreciated for any feedback.

Ohh btw the quote was with Adrian flux as the comparison sites couldn't even find the vehicle not even with a registration number

      Insurance 38 Years Business

Hi Im 38,Ive got mine down as business use as well, fully comp, with Bull Bar £387.00 unlimited mileage etc.No Points on licence etc.I used Adrian Flux, purely because i have another vehicle with them, and i allways get good service.I also however had a good quote from sureterm! Some insurance companies dont like them because they are an import. For me the Surf is a near perfect vehicle.

51 years old, 7 years no claims £480 with the flux, third party fire & theft. Didn`t see the point of fully comp on a truck worth 2 grand ish specially considering they`ll probably find a reason not to pay or at best pay me nothing like what i costs to replace

42, full NCB, heavily modified 3.0 2nd Gen, Fully Com with Adrian Flux about £280. Biggish excess, but no limits on milage etc.

          Garaged and nice postcode though.

61 years and no claims. With A Flux cost me £270. Try A-Pal as they are fairly good on quotes. Comparison sites do list Surf but not the auto as when you get a good price on the manual phone the company and get them to re-quote for a auto.

Just paid my renewal a fortnight ago (was actually due yesterday so I paid early for once in my life!).

For an LN130 through LV it was £461 fully comp with no voluntary excess, protected no claims (7 years), 2 claims in the last 5 years (one accident - my fault and one windscreen glass), not the greatest postcode in the world but ok-ish, 37 years old, married.

Depends on the company as to what they will offer, most will give 65% after five years..

Depends on which insurance company you're talking to. 10 years for some. The lowest "maximum" I saw was 3 years while I was looking around. Can't remember who that was with though.
