MOT Query

Daisy is due for her annual MOT and on tuesday 21st the mechanic we normally use was booked to come and pick her up, take her while i was at work and then drop her off afterwards and leave me a bill and the relevant paperwork.

He's occasionally a bit unreliable and he never turned up on tuesday but when i phoned him he said it was fine and as he'd serviced her a couple weeks back that he would pass her for an MOT ( as he's done everything on her since i got her 3 years ago) and would drop the paperwork off to me this week.

Since then i can't get hold of him and he hasn't dropped any paperwork off either.

Is there anywhere online i can check to see if she's actually got one?

Anyone got any ideas on how i would stand if PC Plod pull me over for a routine check?

I'm thinking as far as i'm aware she has one but i can't prove that she has so i'm stuck.

he can't issue a certificate without having the vehicle there as its illegal.Take it as you haven't got a mot and take it else where.

So basically what your saying there is that you have an iffy mot , as the mot was done without your vehicle being present at the mot station. So the mechanic/tester has falsified information on an official document.
And by posting it here on a public forum you are admitting that you know he's done that and that makes you an accessory to fraudulant activity.
If I was you I would delete the original post ASAP , or at least reword it ASAP

Animal, I don't have an MOT, I don't have any official documentation, false or otherwise. I can't get hold of him.

As it stands i'll book daisy in somewhere else and get proper filled in and correct paperwork.
