I like the sound of this.Maybe a campsite near to some good green lanes or off road centre. BBQ, beer, fresh air driving on the beach kids sunshine?

                    Right I'm back now..

Phil - you can't drive on a beach in central england (unless you want to bring your own sand )
I was thinking more along the lines of a location where there would be things to do for families etc
Eg - Coombe Abbey Country Park Nr Coventry - plenty of parking, masses of grass, free entry. Shouldn't be too difficult to find a campsite nearby and green laning shouldn't be a problem either

                    Just a thought....

Not too keen on the scratches, but the deeper the mud the more I like to wallow. Had a quick look around and dose any one fancy Shropeshire Saw this place nr Ironbridge on the attch site, Farley quarry.

There was a good green lane route (complete with tulip guides) around the Buxton area in an edition of TOR - I'll try to find it

Great idea to all meet up- I'm up for it! Although I'm not too sure camping with kids/BBQ in the winter will work if it's too cold/wet?

I was thinking more about spring/summer next year.
The other thing is it could be divided n/s and have 2
