steve good sites near matlock not far from m1 for the people from the south
All sounds good to me, next year would be good, gives enough time to look around and pick a good place. Somewhere that allows camping and B&B's close by for those who dont want to camp.
Maybe a 4x4 site close by or some good green lanes.
Say not always what you know, but always know what you say.
Phil - you can't drive on a beach in central england (unless you want to bring your own sand )
I was thinking more along the lines of a location where there would be things to do for families etc
Eg - Coombe Abbey Country Park Nr Coventry - plenty of parking, masses of grass, free entry. Shouldn't be too difficult to find a campsite nearby and green laning shouldn't be a problem either
Just a thought....
OK, so I got a little carried away! Still a good idea though. I agree its getting a little late in the year for camping.
That isn't a bad idea - Stoneleigh is ideal as there is camping and a (small) off road course (for the dirty folk amoung us! )
I've stayed there a few times when I've been to the Kit Car show.
It would mean leaving it until August next year if folk wanted to go to the Town & Country Festival
Not too keen on the scratches, but the deeper the mud the more I like to wallow. Had a quick look around and dose any one fancy Shropeshire Saw this place nr Ironbridge on the attch site, Farley quarry. http://www.4x4funday.co.uk/
and wondered if anyone knew anything about it.
sumo.
I'll ask my mate, he belongs to Staffs & Salop L****dR****R (I feel sick now ) Off road club More likely to be on their patch
I like it How about Billing in Northampton plus while we are having a few sherberts the kids can go round the fun fare there. You cant beat falling over tent pegs and burning your fingers on the throw away rain a que`s... Oh sorry reminiscing of going diving again in Dorset......
anyone & everyone with a surf/4runner is welcome its just that us guys up here dont seem to get it together. truth is we need offroad practice the only time we go off road is when we park in our driveway

Billing is a great place, but we properbly need some nearer the middle of the country to be fairer to all.
