Hi, hope to be spending a lot of time here bending everyone's ears about Surfs.

Have my eyes on a couple at the usual sources, but other than the great 'buying advice' section, does anyone have any other tips on what to look out for?

Or anyone north of the border have a pre-loved one they'd like re-homed?

                    Yep, not that extreme!

Had looked at the beautiful beast mentioned above. I'd be looking for something a bit tamer to start with!

Actually if anyone could put me in touch with a user called boscorose, he sounds like he had a black 2.4 last week that'd do the trick.

Cant work out how to respond on someone elses post - dont think I have priveliges yet.

Thanks for all the kind words!

                      Hi Bogus, thanks!

Looking to spend around £1200 - £1500, do a lot of camping and fishing so need a reliable hauler. Quite shiny would be nice, maybe a 2.4 with the head already done.

                            Target Acquired.

Thanks to everyone who pitched in with advise and help.

I'm proud to announce the arrival of the Blue Whale.

She's a bouncing 3ltr SSRG, 95 plate, though didn't hit our shores until 2006. Lots of shiny parts and I love her very much.

                            Cheers!
