Hello all
I have recently taken possesion of a 1990 Surf LN130, and am going to start experimenting with SVO. From everything I have read here (very very informative - thanks all posters)and on other web pages, I understand that a Bosch style fuel pump is more suitable for vegoil rather than Lucas/Cav variations. I have also read that the 2nd gen Hilux was built with a fuel pump that was based on a Bosch design, but having very little mechanical knowledge is there anyway I can check what fuel pump is in my yoke - either by looking at it or checking manufacturers details somewhere?
And if I cant tell which pump it is and I crack on and try this..... http://www.bio-power.co.uk/tryit.htm
and discover that it doesnt like SVO, am I going to do any irreversible damage?
thanks all
