You could open the door or the drop the tailgate. Just as effective and far less gay.

That little snippet of info - knowing that they are called T-bolts - has allowed me to source them from the following folks:

            http://www.aluminium-profile.co.uk/a...e_T_Bolts.html

Just ordered them online and I'll report back on how good they are when they turn up.

In terms of tidying up the rather messy looking fog lamp installation I have found a slightly bigger unit and I'll file back the uneven edges of the current hole to fit the new lamp unit.

Functionality is one thing (I'm sure we all prefer to know that we're staying on the right side of the law!) but I don't fancy living with a permanent bodge if I can possibly tidy it up a wee bit.

They seem to be about £20 but look good when done - certainly better than my bodge does!

And yes, I'll be there on Saturday all being well.

That RDX Led one looks as if it would be easy to install, two ,on either side of the number plate housing,I could get rid of the horrible dangly down thing.Funny that, the wife said something similar the other day

P.S. Wonder if they do reversing lights in the same style, but diff colour before someone pulls me up about it

Rav4, 4runner and some LC ones can be flush fitted too.

This is what I picked up a few years ago (there must be a UK supplier by now).

Involved one hole for the wires, ans two bolt holes. I think it was the easiest job I've done.
                          Gone from 4x4 to 1x2

Those lights on ebay, same as Apache's post, the guy selling them will take £15 each for them (free delivery) with 'Best Offer'. I just bought & fitted two of them last week. They passed MOT today.

This is the boy I'm on about.

No problems Al. The bumper is flat enough, and the plastic bezel of the lights soft enough to conform to the very slight curve. The angle of the light fitting in the bezel can be changed slightly too.
