Have noticed a knocking noise from back end and wondering if its anti roll bar rubbers or some other rubber bush. It does it on cornering and braking. Have checked spare wheel underneath but seem okay and tight. Any thoughts anyone. 1990 SSR LTD 2.4DT. Owned for 3 months. Think its just from Japan.

I get a knock at the back of mine if I haven't shut the spare wheel carrier catch properly. I get the idea that you have an underslung spare so I guess its not that. Just roll underneath and give everything a good shake.
You need a nutty neighour like mine who will lie under the truck while you pull away and swerve the steering from left to right. Worth his weight in gold. Luckily he is a slim 8.5 Stones. I'd ground the truck. It's only a hobby!

"Gaz Longstaff"!? Is that your real name? That's like Rod Trunk, or Pierce Truncheon.
Aparrently, if you use your first pet's name and your mother's maiden name, you end up with your would-be pornstar name. I've never had a pet , but my wife's works out as Slicker Dale, which I think works... No, she's not a real pornstar...
Foxhill, I've been shopping around (UK & Ireland) for a gen2 for about six weeks. I'v found what seem to be good 'uns for £2300 - £2500 for 1990 2.4s, up to €5500 for ropey 1990 2.4s. I guess if you want the car and it's a good one, and more importantly, your better half lets you leap into the insanty of owning a 4x4, then you've got to pay whatever the price is... I'm not sure what I just wrote makes sense, but I'm too tired to check it...
