  • Touring cars.

The new season of the B.T.C.C. starts tomorrow, 11am ITV4 (Channel 120)

Proper car racing with proper cars, driven by proper drivers that are allowed overtake each other, not four wheeled computers with over paid ponces steering them and being told who's allowed to win!

I used to get free tickets to attend the races with my last car... Rockingham is a great track to see the race, you can see 75% of the track from the stands... deffo recco a good day out!

Love touring cars! Fortunate enough to have been a VIP spectator a few times with the various manufacturers I`ve worked for and it is the best racing to watch, real people really trying!

Sadly it`s being strangled by regulations now too hence the withdrawal of some of the most notable leaders (Vauxhall?) so I wont be following it any more, but always have respect for the privateers, damn good show!

Pahhh, whats so good about watching pikeys racing robbed repmobiles?

F1 was (once) supposed to be about giving free reign to designers to come up with the most esoteric ways to go faster than the other guy - much like GpB til the H&S pussies got hold of it.

Brands Hatch for the first races tomorrow.

Andy, check out the new Focus being tested, it's got the Group B sound.

Pancakes, Bacon, Maple syrup, coffee and Channel 4 at 11. If Calsberg made Sundays.

The Touring Cars and the Superbikes actually keep my local circuit, Knockhill, alive.

It's a great weekend when the touring boys are in town. Great wee circuit to spectate at.

If you get a chance look up V8 Supercars.

Brash Ozzies, rear wheel drive, too much power, very willing to rub door handles, and they don't stop for rain.

One of my favorite circuits, Knockhill. The hairpin before the start/finish straight is where most races are lost or won.

Watched that aswell, as I had the "commodore" equivalent they race. thing is, isn't Aus V8 suipercars just Ford and Holden though? not much variety there?

I've ridden a TZ350 and an OW31 round there, it's a nice, fast, scary, track. Almost as scary as Beveridge Park...

Vince, sounds more like a cross between something utterly alien and a Rolls Royce Merlin!

Truly weird - even scary sounding. Far too technologically advanced to be GpB...

Now THIS is terrifying - watch the Quattro nose up near the beginning...

have you sat on the start/finish line at Rockingham and heard the "crack" as they change gear at some silly speed? Its deafening... proper racing, not just modern stock cars!
                              love it!
