Test drove..

..the new Polo GTI this morning. It's a Supercharged and Turbocharged 1.4, 4 cylinder 16v. Boasts around 37 to 55mpg and with the 7 speed DSG gearbox it shifts through the gears like an F1 car.

Very nice little pocket rocket but feels a bit femine. Not sure if I can see myself owning one but would be fun to use (if that makes sense). It even has the paddles on the steering wheel as well as the manual overide on the automatic lever. Tax for the year is £110 as emissions arent high.

Think VW have produced a excellent combination. Just thought I'd share that :p

A lad at work just bought a diesel clio £52 to fill the tank computor said range was 630mile. £30 road tax per year.

Now that's a decent work hack. You could afford to play in a V8 all weekend.

It's probably stating that as the fuel tank range as bits have already began falling off allowing a weight saving.

My first ever car was a clio. Happy memories. I burnt out the handbrake and the tyres, and then the local hooligans burnt the whole damned thing out after trying and failing to nick it (the days when I lived in Larndan Town).
The only sensible car I have ever owned...

Its fully auto. You don't need to touch the paddles. They're just a selling gimmick. I didn't notice them until the VW salesman pointed them out. Pointless though really. I cant see any valid reason on using them for anything legal.
