  • Oiliocoolio........

    Yay....its fitted and plumbed and don't leak..........yet

Went for the upside down in front of rad fittment....

Pipe routing was fun and suprised at how little i spilt on the drive when cutting the pipe.... yes i put a rag down....

Engine running, nice flow of air through cooler and rad.... tested using the trusty british standard pooh paper......

The pipes are spread to allow the grill mount to pass through......

Not the pretiest installation but practical me thinks......

Didn't take much to top up the system but will check after longer test run to work tomorrow.....

The only extra fans i had fell off with the aircon rad....

Checked for chaffing and all clear and sturdy.....

Hole through front inner panel has radiused edge so no chaffing there....

May fit small fan on front of cooler later too help out.....

Was the aircon rad in front of your main rad ?

edit: I'm a little worried that you spent ages worrying about which way up to fit the cooler but happily junked the aux cooling fan

Thats where they are on the 3.0 ltd, they come on with the aircon and when it gets too hot for the viscous to cope. (I think thats what Tonyn said before)H

Surely if its there for the aircon and i have no aircon you shouldn't be worried...

The aircon rad was in front of main rad and had one, not so big fan, attached to it (if i remember rightly).
As it was only for the aircon and i no longer had aircon would not need the fan.
It was fubar anyway the bearings were shot so i binned it.

Still have the electrics there so maybe able to use to power another fan monted on the other side and one on the cooler itself.

Never had a problem since it was removed, only fitting cooler cus we have a tin snail and i am being precautionary.........

Does anyone know if the ac would need to be switched on for the fan circuit to work ? cus the button in the cab still lights when the heater fans are running, and if it is controlled by a stat on the engine block, what temp would it cut in at ?

Ebay, a company called GDMHEAT, think it was about £50.
