Where's the fun in buying a hilux pickup? Plus, the surf doesn't have leaf spring suspension. It's a bit more refined than the hilux.

Bushwacker, if I use the standard back window runner, ie, chop the back bit of the back off and reweld it further forward, will the window not fit then? I hope you can make sense of that.

I will be camera happy when I do go for it and not to worried about losing fingers, I'm already missing my right thumb after a horsey mishap!
Thats how i did it,but you need to remove all of the strengthening from the rear outer skin in order for it to bend over the cut piece of whats left of the back doors.

Bushwhacker, love the look of the trayback, but I think I prefer it with the full back doors.

Apache, that truck is the nuts! What size tyres are on it?

          That's Mark's truck. The one you've been looking at already. I think they're 33s

The same as the Porsche Boxter, you can't tell the front from the back.
The secret is to bobtail it too.

But you don't like double cabs either, so don't expect you to agree anyway.

TBH, I think bobtailed Surfs, be they pickup'd or not, look shit

Proportions are all wrong and they end up looking like overblown Suzuki X90s, which is VERY VERY bad!

Not keen on the bobtailed look at all. I can understand it's purpose for offroading, but that's about it. Why pickup and bobtail? Makes the buck big enough for pretty much nothing but an apple pie!

Making it a bobtailed pick up and keeping the four doors that makes it look stupid!

Ha ha, I'll bet! Is it even possible? I'm picturing it now, it'd look like a baby's boot! Or should I say, old rav-4!

Thats the whole point, offroad ability, why else would you have a modified 4x4?

I think they look great. 4 people in comfort, recovery gear and cooler of beer in back, no rear overhang. Ultimate offroader.

I think X90's look great. 2 dubious sexuality people in comfort, hair dressing items and sex toys in rear overhang. Ultimate gay tool.
