Just to flog a dead horse that, if not specifically covered pretty much has been recently. I've just seen that as well as womens car insurance being affected their life insurance is set to rise too
Prices rises imminent! Men currently pay more as the risk of them dying within the term's higher. Price equality means women's costs will probably rise. Even though rules won't change yet, as term life insurance policies often last 20 years with guaranteed prices, price hikes are expected within a few weeks according to broker Lifesearch - adding possibly £100s to the overall cost. Its just insane, its a risk calculation business. If it goes the same way as other discimination does that mean that before long they will be forced to equalise premiums for a 18 year old and an 70 year old? I would presume that those paying less at the moment will probably be forced to pay more rather than vice versa, natch.
