I've tried asking around for WVO but apparently I've got no hope around here (north Staffs) cos I've been told that one of the biggest WVO recycling companies in the UK is based relatively locally (no idea what their name is or whatever - just going by what I've been told by other locals on the Veggie Oil users forum)

I've not noticed a significant difference in mpg between 100% diesel and 100% SVO that I've run on in the summer months.
Have you tried places like old peoples homes and schools/ colleges. You want to think about those that will have too little oil to make it worth a WVO co's while to collect but just enough to be worth you collecting

yep its gone up but i did notice one of those we`ll beat our rivals price posters outside might be worth a try. their loss too really, done my shopping there while i was picking up my veggy oil, wont be doing that again and it cant be a good idea pricing your goods so high people dont buy them.
Surely you can buy this gunk in 50 gallon drums somewhere i`m gonna investigate i`ve got a milko customer who works in a place that packages it
Its a short term thing really anyway, I`d imagine the man has got some law looming that will prohibit its use as fuel on pain of death

        Al,
Why are Bookers charging you VAT on cooking oil. Surely foodstuffs are Zero Rated and there shouldn't be any added tax.?

My god! I think the lad's cracked it!

Negating the time driving to/buying the stuff/bringing it back would help me significantly....now, how many litres do you think they'll let me buy in one transaction....?

Oh, also Morrisons has been £3.13 for 3 litres, but poundland was, well, you know....but 1 litre bottles of KTC... now all we need to do is find a distributor of KTC ( made locally to me in West Brom) and we're sorted.

When using SVO last year in the summer, long runs was fine and was losing about 10% Mileage which is not that bad but if you then add the fact that you have to change your Filter more often.
yes my truck seemed to run smoother on SVO and it smells much better than the Dirty diesel smell.

If you can actually get it at about £1.00 a ltr and with the price at the pumps being £1.33 then it becomes a more viable solution.
                    Always room for more power!!!!

You could get on tesco`s case who promise to beat their rivals price for your weekly shop or refund the difference then if asda do the same, back to them. you might end up getting it for free
