They always did. It's just a marketing thing.

Hmmm, did they? I know a few years ago they would let men be added as additional drivers but the policy holder/main driver had to be female.

the wifes renuwal came through last month for her 3L TD SURF gone up to £570 but after looking through various sites for an hour or so found QUOTEZONE so put details in and cheapest was with SURETERM £248 fully comp +£24 for legal cover so £272 in total. better than half price. they wanted about £50 to pay in instalments so paid it outright. only catch is she isnt covered to drive other vehicles. thats cheaper than my motor bike.
BEST INSURANCE COVER ANY OF US HAS EVER HAD.

What a stupid ruling, does anyone in charge have a brain anymore?

What is the point of this? Apart from a reason to increase female insurance rates?

I always said we should have joined the US instead of the EU if the Govn't were to scared to run a country without someone to hide behind when things are tough!

I agree, but only if we can have their fuel prices.

Not at the right price once you pay all the duty etc!

I think we should become the 51st state of usa and get their prices for everything!

Historicaly, these things work the other way around.

Like the European Gas Network. Europe's wholesale gas prices were much lower than ours. The theory was that when the interconnectors between the UK and mainland became live, our gas prices would drop to the Erropean level. The reality was that their prices rose to match ours.

I don't want to become American, I don't want to be European either, but I'm stuck with that stigma.

one zillion % correct, it's just BS spin to squeeze more money out of people that statiscialy pay it.

Maybe women are lower risk drivers and maybe they are not, I think on paper they clearly have been so have been charged less, now they will pay over the odds in the false name of equality.... what a total farce
