    Hi im collecting a 3.0TD 1995 surf tomorrow apart from window motors bumpers oil leaks what else should i look for!! I cannot wait to get into this hobby its my first 4x4 ever.

    Some of the geniuses will be along shortly to elaborate i`m a relative newbie but i`d be checking for signs of cylinder head probs to start with

      Hi neebie...so your nee around here then.

      personally, I'd drop the 3.0 like the hot potato it is, and buy a land rover...much more reliable.

          Yeah I agree - I'll do you a favor and give you £20 for it

          The surf is a great motor - much more comfortable and reliable than a landy - I bought my first one 18 months ago and it's the only motor i've ever spent money doing up because I want to (not just fixing)

                            I was walking through the city centre, and in the distance I saw someone stood in the middle of Church Street burning effigys of Wayne Rooney. I thought 'thats a bit much' so made my way over to remonstrate with the man. As I got there I discovered the baked potato stall....
